Saved by Faith or Feeling

I can feel it in my soul, a popular song says and that sounds good but is it true?

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

To really BELIEVE is to know without any doubt and that is what our Lord had above, last 2 verses and this same Faith we must have.

The absolute knowing He has pardoned us and we are His and He will raise us also at the last day as He was raised.

If a one then have that true Faith I won’t argue with him that he can’t feel it in his soul but for me it has to come back to knowing and trusting fully in His pardon and my full repentance and then following obedience.

When obedience is dropped then a backslidden state has occurred and this needs to be realized, any and all can backslide and many are deceived by slick well oiled orators of deception that now sin committed is already forgiven.

No friends, when He forgives us He admonishes us, Go Sin No More! Yes, you now can as Christ dwells in those He has forgiven and you now have His power to walk in this world as He walked.

Know this, He was an over comer and we must be also.

Ok - I'll give some more thoughts to clutter this issue as well. :)

Acts 2

37When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"

38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call."

40With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

42They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.

44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved

Obviously repentance is a BIG part of being saved. Turning away from evil things and trying to never do them again (although we all fail because NONE is righteous - not even one). This is interesting, though, that baptism also seems to matter.

"For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ." (Galatians 3:27)

Just some food for thought.

Yes Bro. John,

Baptism is for one a symbol of death of the old sinful life and raising up out to a new life in Christ and a sincere commitment to walk as He walked. One of those verses mentioned "fellowship" and that is a wonderful thing to be in the family of God. To come out of this world full of corruption on every side and way possible to be with God's true ones of True Love. Among those that His Spirit abides in and that is Christ in All His own.

Hey John that is the kind of "clutter" that is needed, a comming together in fellowship of the truth with Him.

Deception is running so deep and wide these days all true Christians need to be witnessing the truth in every way possible and at every opportunity.

We are Christ driven unfearing soldiers in His service and none need be through any schools of this world for that. The wisdom and power is from Him.

I pray you be Blessed for your stand for truth.
