To Live By The Flesh is Eternal Death, To Live By The Spirit is Eternal Life.

Ro 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

This is in part to point out Paul in no way insinuates the law is abolished or made void.

Ga 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Ga 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Ga 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

While following Christ in faith we are under grace but once back in sin the law is revived to condemn us and later here Paul says “I died“. We want to be dead to sin and obeying the lusts of the flesh but alive in Him in obedience to His law of love now in our hearts. But most today remain under the law because they refuse part of it they don’t like.

Mt 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mt 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

It isn’t Paul that would make void the law, Rom 3:31 above but some deluded men.

Ro 6:1 ¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Ro 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Ro 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Ro 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Ro 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

When He abides in us the law is in our hearts by His indwelling Spirit and so obedience becomes our will since we are now dead to sin but alive in Him by His Spirit.

Ro 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

So now the above verse makes it clear that when we deny one of the commandments we are a “servant of sin unto death”. Obedient to another master.

Ro 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Ro 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

He was alive in sin until the commandments came into his life and condemned his sin and he saw he was dead.

Ro 7:14 ¶ For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Ro 8:26 ¶ Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Ro 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Ro 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.  (Rev 12:10 answers down a few verses)

Ro 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Ro 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

We then are dead to the old man of sin “killed all day long” and must stay with Him and not return to the way of death, “as sheep for the slaughter“. It is born in us a bent on doing sin, carnal as Paul says above. Ro 7:14. So in this life we must continue to make a full and complete surrender to Jesus, Yahshua or we fall back into death. We love Him or we love death!

Pr 8:36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Re 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.   (answers Ro 8:34 above)

Re 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Our sin is ever before us as the law is in our hearts and we know we are dead except for Him and His Sacrifice and love for us. Because we are covered with His Blood and righteousness we are no longer condemned.

Ro 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Ro 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Ro 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
