Why is it that no more than a few study and have the proper interpretation of prophecy and any understanding of it?
2 Pe 1:19 ¶ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Folks He gave it that you would not be in the dark about future history.
Da 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
I am perplexed that so few take any heed to prophecy when it is a perfect future history of what is to come. It is not discerned by the surface reader or any that don't know much about what the scriptures have to say on most subjects. It also takes the guidance of His Spirit to guide into the truth of what it means which must be what He meant when He gave it and not any man's interpretation.
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
I can tell you this, we are very close to the finish of sins reign in this old world. You should realize this also if you have His Spirit and studied His prophecy for you. All on earth are short timers now with this age of 6,000 years.
2Ti 3:1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
Can not you see that we are in the very last days, are not perilous times upon us. Yes I know it is going to get much worse and even before another year is up.
It is wake up time for all true Christians, a full surrender is what it is going to take, to fall upon the Rock Jesus and be broken and fully obedient to His will. What does that mean? It's like a horse that is not broke to ride or work yet, it is not much good to it's master. Falling on the Rock, Jesus is making Him your master and your will is completly given to Him. You now obey ALL His commandments and NONE are galling anymore. You are now one He can use and safely take into His Kingdom. You now are willing to be shaped and guided, very malleable to Him.
There really is no excuse for anyone to not know what is coming as that sure word of prophecy has been there for ages and it is opened to be understood for the last days. -
Da 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
No prophecy is understood until it is time and now there is none that is closed up and sealed.
To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Are you?
